With each item, we put in a minimum of 4 hours of work between harvesting, curing, maintaining,
planning, crafting and shipping. It's a meager and hard earned wage, but well worth it with many pleased customers showing appreciation after receiving their requested piece. We harvest the bamboo locally, treat it without pesticides or harsh chemicals & handcraft each item. Our medium of choice is one of the most versatile and easily renewable crops in the world.
Custom items are priced per item. The more detail
you can provide will help, or you can surrender your fate to our creativity and
see what happens. If you have a picture or draw something you would like to have
made from bamboo, we will let you know how we can do it and the cost. What you will receive is the finest work we can muster. To get a 6
inch section just right, we usually go through 3 feet of bamboo. An order
of two, 8 inch Bamscriptubes needed 12 feet of bamboo to get the perfect
sections and lids. We are quite stubborn with ourselves to make sure that you will
be very happy with your order.
During the process of making your items we vigorously torture the piece to make our best effort at getting it to crack,
shrink or otherwise fail before it leaves our hands. If for some reason your item
should fail to function as designed please contact us and I we'll make our best
efforts to correct
it. We don't like chemicals and only use a fine oil, wax or clear coat as an external sealer. Just trying to keep it real, ya know? Shipping is around $5 for small items. Efforts to utilize carrier pigeons failed because of their lift capacity so we are now training a fleet of pelicans that should be ready for service by December
and will cut shipping costs. However, they won't leave
Florida.
Sorry, no engraving. We've tried and it looks like
an epileptic monkey got drunk and found some crayons.
Bracelets are available for wrists up to
10 inches around. Bracelets may not always be available. Shrinking and expanding
based on humidity and temperature will make them snug in the mornings and loose
in the afternoons, or vice versa depending on your migration
habits.

You may give us a phone number but often the Artisan doesn't feel well enough to talk, so
